Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven
Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans to prevent sticking.
2. Prepare the Cake Batter
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Add in the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and well combined.
Carefully stir in the boiling water—this will make the batter thin, but that’s what gives the cake its signature moist texture.
3. Bake the Cake
Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
Bake for about 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer them to wire racks to cool completely.
4. Make the Ganache
Place the chocolate chips and chopped dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl.
Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan over medium heat until it begins to simmer (do not boil).
Pour the hot cream over the chocolate and let it sit for 2 minutes.
Stir until the mixture is completely melted, smooth, and glossy.
5. Assemble the Cake
Place one cake layer on your serving plate or cake stand.
Spread a generous layer of ganache over the top.
Add the second cake layer and pour the remaining ganache over the top, letting it cascade down the sides for that irresistible chocolate-drip effect.
6. Serve and Enjoy!
Allow the ganache to set for about 30 minutes before slicing.
This Triple Chocolate Cake is pure decadence—rich, moist, and packed with deep chocolate flavor. Serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a glass of milk for an even more delightful experience.
