Ingredients:
• Shaved ice (or crushed ice)
• Fresh strawberries (sliced)
• Sweetened condensed milk
• Vanilla ice cream (optional)
• Whipped cream
• Powdered sugar
• Mint leaves (for garnish, optional)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Ice
To start, you’ll need shaved ice, which is the key ingredient in bingsu. If you don’t have a specialized ice shaver, you can also use crushed ice as an alternative. To get perfectly shaved ice, place ice cubes in a blender or ice crusher, and pulse until you get a snow-like texture. The finer the ice, the better the bingsu!
2. Assemble the Base
Scoop the freshly shaved or crushed ice into a large bowl or individual serving dishes. The ice should form a fluffy, mound-like base, creating a perfect canvas for your toppings.
3. Top with Fresh Strawberries
Wash and slice fresh strawberries into thin pieces. Scatter the strawberry slices generously over the ice, creating a colorful and flavorful topping. The natural sweetness and juiciness of the strawberries will balance beautifully with the icy texture.
