Instructions:
1 Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
2 Prepare the Dough
Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface until it forms a rectangle or long strip, about 1/4 inch thick. You can make the breadsticks as thick or thin as you prefer, but thinner breadsticks tend to be crispier.
3 Add Cheese
Sprinkle the grated mozzarella cheese evenly over the surface of the rolled-out dough. Follow with a generous sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. The combination of these two cheeses will give the breadsticks a perfect melt and rich flavor.
4 Season the Dough
In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with the garlic powder and dried thyme. Brush this flavorful mixture evenly over the dough, ensuring every inch gets a good coating of garlic butter. The butter will not only add flavor but will also help the breadsticks achieve a golden, crispy texture once baked.
5 Cut the Dough
Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, slice the dough into strips, about 1-1.5 inches wide. You can make them as long or short as you like, depending on your preference.
6 Bake the Breadsticks
Arrange the dough strips on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they are spaced evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the breadsticks are golden brown and the cheese is bubbling and slightly crispy around the edges.
7 Garnish and Serve
Once baked, remove the breadsticks from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley to add a burst of color and freshness. Serve warm, either as a side dish with pasta, salad, or as a snack on their own.
