• 1 cup honey
• 1/4 cup water
• 2 large egg whites
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2 cups toasted almonds
• Edible wafer paper (optional)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Pan:
Start by preparing your pan. Line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper or edible wafer paper. The wafer paper helps prevent the nougat from sticking to the pan and gives it a traditional look and texture. If you don’t have wafer paper, parchment paper works just fine.
